Dr. Tom Huerter received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Dental School of Creighton University in 1978. In 1980, he completed his postgraduate orthodontic residency at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. Since then he has maintained a specialty orthodontic practice in Omaha.
Dr. Tom is one of three Elite Invisalign® Providers in the Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri region. He attends numerous continuing education courses each year, enabling him to provide the best care for his patients with state of the art treatment and office facilities.
Serving his community, he is active in Christ the King Church, United Catholic Social Services, Sacred Heart Cues, United Way, Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Hot Shops, Child Savings Institute, Creighton University and Buena Vista University. Dr. Tom holds active memberships in numerous professional organizations such as the Omaha District Dental Society, Nebraska Dental Association, American Dental Association, Nebraska Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.
While maintaining a cutting edge, yet fun and friendly office, Dr. Tom is committed to providing the highest quality for his patients. Nothing makes him happier than seeing his patients proudly displaying their new smiles after the orthodontic appliances have been removed, knowing their teeth can be healthy for a lifetime.
If you know Dr. Tom, you know he is all about family, having five children, nine brothers and sisters and 31 nieces and nephews. He also is an avid reader, enjoys painting, traveling, collecting art, coaching Little League baseball and CYO Youth basketball and (using the term loosely) playing golf.
